1. Favourite film

The Little Prince

My favourite movie is The Little Prince. This animated children's film is a heart warming must watch for every child and adult. It was originally published as a book by French aristocrat, poet, writer and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint Exupery in 1943. The movie was released in 2015 by Paramount Pictures.

The film starts with a little girl trying to get into a dull, harsh school. Her mother pressurisers her and she becomes depressed in her boring daily routine set by her mother. One day a paper aeroplane sails through her window and she becomes immersed in the world of The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince).

The little girl soon finds herself spending a huge amount of time with her elderly aviator neighbour (the person who sent the paper aeroplane through her window) and she forgets all about the school and her time table.

The neighbour tells her the story of The Little Prince, a boy who lived on Asteroid B612 and his life with his Rose. The little girl finds comfort in the story and becomes obsessed with it. All this time, her mother has no idea of her time spent with her neighbour and when she finds out, the world is ripped away from her.

The little girl runs away to find The Little Prince but when she finds him, he is no longer little. He is now Mr. Prince and works for the Businessman. The little girl saves Mr. Prince and when they return to Asteroid B612 they find that his Rose is dead. They see his Rose's image in the sunrise and this image turns Mr. Prince back to The Little Prince and the little girl returns home.
